Our solution to fashion

TRIMIT has specialized in the fashion industry for more than 25 years. Their 130+ employees are spread across Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland, and through a partner network, they operate in an additional 10 countries.

Although TRIMIT places great emphasis on their customers, Carsten Hedemann explains that the software company equally focuses on its employees, based on the belief that the best product can only be delivered by having the best, most competent, and most satisfied employees.

For us, it’s not enough just to sell software solutions. We also want to engage with our customers through knowledgeable, trustworthy, and dedicated employees who enhance the overall experience and provide the best advice,” says Carsten Hedemann, adding:

“We genuinely believe that once a customer feels our motivation, joy, and thoroughness, we can inspire them. Our employees’ enthusiasm for what we excel at should reflect in our collaboration. We believe that’s the way forward. Meeting our customers on an equal footing makes a world of difference, but to do that, it has been necessary for us to create a workplace where our employees are excited to be. We are aware that our employees must love the company before our customers can,” he explains.

Trust is crucial

At TRIMIT, they emphasize openness and honesty with their customers to ensure that the collaboration is based on trust, which is crucial when implementing a technical software system in a creative company.

“If we are to future-proof our customers’ businesses, we must first show that we understand their business to gain their trust. I can understand if a fashion company doesn’t have a strong opinion on software systems—or a significant interest, for that matter. In a creative industry, our products can often seem relatively intangible. Therefore, it is crucial that our customers sense that we bring extensive industry experience and an approachability that quickly identifies where their needs lie. This builds a trust that we can build upon,” asserts Carsten Hedemann.

He also emphasizes that if the trust is missing and there isn’t a sense of alignment with the customer, TRIMIT always chooses to decline the task.

“Of course, we want to help as many customers as possible, but there has to be a match. If we don’t feel that match, we politely decline the collaboration. At TRIMIT, we have the philosophy that we must be compatible with those we work with. Both on the product side and, not least, as people. Only then can we deliver optimal value to our customers,” concludes Carsten Hedemann.
